1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity - Supporting Secondary Students with SEMH (Sittingbourne)


Full-time - Monday to Friday - £88 - £90 per day


Successful candidate will NEED to drive and have their own vehicle to get to the school.


You will need to have THRIVE training as this is a requirement.


Are you an experienced and organised 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? Tradewind Recruitment is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Swale.


This is a full-time role with an immediate start, beginning as a long-term temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.


We collaborate with a variety of SEN schools across Swale and surrounding areas, so if you're local, we'd love to hear from you!


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing tailored support to secondary-aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including those with behavioural challenges.
  2. Offering one-on-one and small group assistance.
  3. Working alongside teachers to prepare and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  4. Promoting a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere, including support with classroom tasks and resources.
  5. Supervising and supporting students on school trips and other outings.
  6. Rephrasing instructions, repeating information, and guiding students to keep them engaged in their learning.

  1. An Enhanced child-only DBS check, Overseas Police Clearances (if required), and professional references.
