Thermal Hydraulics Analysis Engineer Role at Rolls Royce SMR


Progressive GE are supporting Rolls Royce SMR in the search for a Thermal Hydraulics Analysis Engineer to work on innovative Small Modular Reactor (SMR) projects at their Manchester City Centre HQ, Warrington or Derby sites in the United Kingdom.

Role Overview:

As a Thermal Hydraulics Analysis Engineer, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment where you will apply your expertise to analyze, ensure & enhance the operational performance and safety of SMR technology.


You will model fluid and thermal systems that extract power from the nuclear core and ensure safe operation of the reactor. This will involve producing models and analyses that demonstrate operation of the reactor, and working closely with system designers to optimise the design of the plant and its safety systems to maximise safety, performance, and value for money. Analysis outputs form a key input to the safety case and support the overall substantiation of the power station design.
