This is a territory role, meaning the successful candidate will be able to work remotely within the above territory but with some expectations of national travel and attendance to head office as required.
GSK is seeking to appoint a Therapy Representative who demonstrates passion and drive to work with a defined group of customers, largely based in primary care with the potential to work across secondary care where required.
You will be responsible for a specific group of customers and sales growth within the local health economy, demonstrating a flexible and resilient approach and an ability to adapt their customer interactions according to local need.
Your Responsibilities
- Personally accountable for the achievement of sales growth and activity targets across a defined group of customers, implementing excellently versus local Key Performance Indicators and effectively escalating issues.
- Demonstrate a high level of selling skills to ensure medicines in the therapy area are prescribed to appropriate patients.
- Develop and implement own business plan that feeds into the local health economy account plans.
- Tailor multi-channel promotional activity according to the local Account Plans, which may mean different activity with different customers.
- Take personal accountability to understand local customers and their needs to develop and mobilise local external experts and build clinical advocacy within the primary care setting as appropriate.
- Understand and input into local market access strategies, manage key customers in PCNs and support project implementation as required within the local health economy account plans.
- Actively engage the FLSM, HAM and other extended roles (e.g., Regional Account Managers, Medical Scientific Liaison) to identify the right levers for the benefit of the business.
- Take personal accountability for therapy area understanding, including the disease, GSK medicines competitors and campaign, as well as the local health economy environment to add value to customers and ensure all national campaigns are effectively implemented with local context.
- Take personal ownership of own development and pull on the support available from FLSM as well as the Learning & Development function.
- Ensure full compliance with GSK ethical working policy, other GSK policies, health and safety requirements and UK regulatory and ABPI requirements.

- Educated to degree level ideally or Healthcare professional.
- ABPI Accreditation (within 1 year).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
- Basic understanding of account management principles and philosophies.
- Basic understanding of NHS structure, policies, drivers in line with their local health economy.
- Positive mindset with the ability to work in a complex and ever-changing environment.
- Good understanding of IT systems and ability to learn and adapt to new processes in a timely manner.
