  2. Deliver complex radiotherapy and demonstrate expert problem solving skills in relation to patient set-ups and treatment delivery.
  3. Exemplary IGRT skills, making complex decisions online relating to image matching and critically appraising a series of images to identify changing trends and take appropriate actions.
  4. Provide support and guidance to your treatment team, including completing achievement reviews, one-to-ones, induction, training, and development.
  5. Participate in QA, audit, research, initial complaints management, and service development initiatives as appropriate.

  8. Initiate a response to reportable IRMER or IRR incidents within the service as required.
  9. Support and mentor undergraduate students in training.

Our department comprises two matched VERSA Elekta Linacs, Mosaiq Oncology Management System, Pinnacle Treatment Planning System (TPS), Limbus AI OAR outlining software, and Canon Aquilion CT Scanner which was installed early 2024. The department actively participates in clinical trials. Lung SABR Treatment commenced in 2021 and we are expanding this to other body sites.

We have a Macmillan Support and Information Radiographer, Urology Specialist Radiographer, and Gynae/Colorectal Specialist Radiographer who have all undertaken independent prescribing. We have also been involved in the multi-award winning late effects project.

We have close working relationships with the Oncology research team which includes a Therapeutic Radiographer in a dedicated research role.

We have exciting future plans which involve implementing SGRT summer 2025, upgrading our current version of Mosaiq, implementation of EPIC electronic patient record, and commissioning of a new TPS. Long term plans will involve preparing for back-to-back Linac replacement.
