Health Care Assistant | Clinical Support Worker | Decontamination Technician

Ready to take your career to the next level? Are you an experienced support worker with a background in Theatres? Join Kent's only private AfPP-accredited Theatres team and make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive environment!

As a Theatre Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in preparing theatres for surgery, ensuring both the theatre and recovery areas are spotless, collecting and escorting patients, and maintaining accurate patient records. Every day is a chance to make a difference for patients in need.

You'll work 4 days per week (Monday to Saturday, 07:30 – 18:00), with just 1 Saturday per month.

If you have experience in Operating Theatres or Decontamination Units, and a talent for building quick, positive rapport with patients, we'd love to hear from you. This is your opportunity to shape your career your way!

Main duties of the job

As a Theatre Support Worker your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning of theatre and recovery areas before and after operating sessions, also adhering to the weekly cleaning schedule.
  • Stocking of cupboards and stock containers against agreed stock levels.
  • Collecting and escorting the patient, and assisting with transferring of the patient from trolley to table under supervision of trained staff.
  • Assisting with the safe positioning of patient on operating table.
  • Acting as circulating person for the scrub team and within the scope of the role.
