The Senior Logistics Manager
A unique opportunity to oversee logistics on the largest infrastructure project in UK history.
This role offers the chance to take a strategic view of logistics performance across multiple Joint Ventures. Working as part of the client team, you'll lead a team of Area Logistics Managers, collaborating closely with Main Contractors Logistics Directors to identify trends, share best practices, and drive improvements across integrated project teams.
Your focus will be on the bigger picture—analyzing performance data, spotting opportunities for improvement, and ensuring environmental and operational efficiencies are achieved across the project.
Through strong relationships, diplomacy, and rapport, you'll influence processes and support the development of sustainable logistics solutions. You can expect to visit 1-2 sites a week, meeting with contractors' logistics teams to understand their operations and assure standards are being met.
This role isn't about managing day-to-day logistics but providing a holistic overview—bringing together insight from across the project to build a knowledge base of best practices and ensure the logistics strategy meets the demands of all stakeholders.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in a project of this scale, shaping how logistics is delivered and improved across one of the UK's most significant undertakings. Your background doesn't need to be in Rail and could come from aviation, construction, military, or automotive sectors.
