Testing Engineer (Cranes / Lifting Equipment)

£40,000 - £45,000 + Monday to Friday + Internal and External Training + Pay and Role Progression + On-Site Parking

This role will see the successful candidate plan, conduct and oversee the testing of lifting appliances, bespoke parts and related equipment. The suitable candidate should have a good understanding of load testing and industry standards.

The Role:

1. Plan out tests for a range of lifting equipment, ensuring all checks are completed to industry and health and safety standards
2. Conduct capacity testing up to 3000 tonnes in tension and 2500 tonnes in compression
3. Accurately identify any potential failures or maintenance requirements and detail any findings in the post-test report
4. Complete the following methods of testing:
1. Proof load testing
2. Tensile testing
3. Destruction testing
4. Compression testing
5. Shear tests
6. Bending tests

The Person:

1. Proven experience in a similar role
2. Experience with testing to BS EN 13155 and ISO 12482 standards
