We are looking to recruit a Tester on a 12-month contract based in Warrington.

On Offer:

  1. Competitive hourly pay rate
  2. Outside IR35, highly likely so engagement via a Ltd Co. is permitted
  3. Remote working with monthly trips to client UK National sites

Responsibilities

  1. Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into testable scenarios and test cases.
  2. Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test schedules aligned with project objectives and timelines.
  3. Test Design: Create detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data sets based on Functional and/or Non-Functional requirements.
  4. Test Execution: Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools, ensuring thorough coverage of all test scenarios.
  5. Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the testing process, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  6. Test Reporting: Generate test reports, metrics, and dashboards to provide stakeholders with visibility into test progress, coverage, and defect status.
  7. Test Automation: Evaluate, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Regression Testing: Plan and execute regression testing activities to validate software changes and ensure backward compatibility.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the STLC framework, driving initiatives to enhance testing methodologies, tools, and practices.
  10. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of testing activities into the software development process.
  11. Test Deliverables: Test Cases / Scripts Functional, Test Execution Logs, Input into Defect Report, Input into Test Summary Report.

Qualifications

  1. Incorporated Engineer or equivalent
  2. Certification in Testing Methodology e.g. ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) and/or SCRUM Practitioner Certification
  3. CSTP (Certified Software Test Professional)
