YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

To achieve this, our team of test and support engineers challenge the products not only against specification but also bringing user experience and use cases from the field.

As a Test and Support Expert you will be responsible for in-house user acceptance testing of new hard- and software for Live video production solutions and appliance tools for video switching, replay and slow motion, and ISO recording used in media, broadcast, and live applications.

In this role you will ensure the product quality and support readiness by transferring your first-hand knowledge into the global support teams.

As a member of the global Customer Success team, you also maintain close contact with customers operational needs and gather product feedback.

Your tasks will include the following:

  • Develop, define and execute Release test cases and documentation in appropriate tools (e.g. Atlassian Suite).
  • Document bugs in Jira and support our development teams with information.
  • Align explorative tests with the System Testing team and meet the needs of Pre-and After Sales Support, R&D and Product management.
  • Test new hard- and firmware for broadcast and live event applications prior to market release.
  • Learn new technologies.
  • Prepare materials and conduct internal trainings to ensure support readiness of the Support teams.
  • Provide support to external and internal customers (contribute to customer support as a second level expert / third level support).
  • Occasional business trips.

THAT'S YOU

We believe practical experience counts. You are a good fit for our team if you bring some of the following:

  • Successfully completed university studies or have 2+ years of proven experience in a relevant market field, ideally in the (outside-) broadcast and entertainment market as a live production engineer including Slomo Replay engineer, Vision engineer or similar.
  • Knowledge of baseband and IP-Video technology (SDI, 2110) Video compression and IP network technology (VLAN, IGMP, ptp, switches…).
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Ideally practical experience in testing of new Hard- and Software.
  • Attitude of ‘test-to-break’ with a good balance of detail orientation and keeping business targets in focus.
  • Passion to educate others and share knowledge.
  • Precise work style with high self-pretention on quality.
  • Self-organized and capable to self-educate on new technologies.
  • Natural authority, sociable and open personality.
  • Team player that fits the personality and basic setting of an international, medium-sized company.
  • Loyalty, reliability, and personal integrity.
  • Ability to cross-domain thinking and willingness to collaborate closely with other company functions using excellent communication skills.
  • Mobility and willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Spoken and Written English to a good level.
