One of the biggest UK rail network companies operating with rail infrastructure and asset management has a need to develop and support enterprise-level information systems. The training function within the client organization has a requirement to deliver the Data Integration and Master Data Management project within their Year 1 Business Plan. The role is key for the programme to start its transformation journey and will be aligned to IT Delivery Lifecycle, working with a variety of stakeholders and suppliers across the programme.
Responsibilities
Plan and drive testing activities across all stages of the delivery lifecycle. Produce a Project Test strategy, plan, schedule, and closure reports. Produce reports on Project progress, process improvements, test/project documents review feedback results, and RAID logs to PTM.
Lead execution of planned test cases ensuring that all test results and evidence are correctly recorded.
Provide authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution.
Work with key project stakeholders, adopting and adapting appropriate testing methods, tools, and techniques to solve problems in tools and testing approaches.
Undertake reviews of compliance to testing policy and procedure, identifying non-compliances, raising risks and issues, and proposing mitigating actions to address them. Oversee the assurance activities of the Senior Test Analysts, providing advice and expertise to support assurance activity.
Identify improvements and contribute to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for testing.
Assess resource requirements for programmes and projects and source those resources by working with project and programme managers to recruit or source appropriately skilled and experienced staff.
Promote working practices that motivate employees and support their health and well-being. Guide individuals on long-term development goals and career opportunities, considering an individual's strengths and preferences.
Communicate work direction, policy, and purpose where these may drive or affect employee engagement. Ensure clear communication of delegated tasks and provide sufficient autonomy to motivate and empower individuals.
