My client is expanding and looking for a skilled Test Engineer to help enhance software quality through automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration. This is an excellent opportunity to work with modern testing tools and cloud technologies in a collaborative environment.

Please note: This role will be 100% office-based for the first 12 weeks before transitioning to a hybrid model.

The Role

• Develop and implement an automated testing framework for web and backend applications.
• Define and execute test strategies, covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing when needed to validate new features.
• Evaluate and recommend automation tools based on project requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.

About You

You're a great fit if you have:

• Experience in test automation for web or backend applications.
• Strong automation skills using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with a focus on shift-left testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Skills (Desirable, but not essential)

• Experience with Azure DevOps, AWS, or cloud-based testing tools.
• Knowledge of performance & security testing.
• Exposure to containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
