Advanced Diagnostics Ltd manufactures high-quality car key programming & diagnostic equipment specifically developed for locksmiths and auto technicians worldwide.

AD develops all key programming software in-house.

Since 2014, Advanced Diagnostics is part of a 3 Billion CHF worldwide top player in access solutions, the Swiss company dormakaba, listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange.

For our site in Nuneaton, we are looking for an Application Engineer.

The role of the Application Engineer is to provide regional technical support for the range of Advanced Diagnostics/Silca Automotive Key products.

You will be expected to support the Engineering teams based in Nuneaton for all activities related to the development of new hardware and software products.

Your main responsibilities:

1. Identifying the source of Diagnostic Tools.
2. The logging of the Diagnostic Tools and vehicle communications.
3. Detailed On-Vehicle testing of products and software.
4. Disassembly and Reassembly of vehicles.
5. The compilation of application lists relevant to new products.
6. Testing of the software.
7. Production of training materials (inc. videos & photos) required.
8. Generate and maintain contacts within the automotive industry.

Requirements:

1. A Diploma as Automotive Engineer or equivalent qualification.
2. Experience in automotive diagnostics or auto electrician.
3. Good understanding of a vehicle's systems architecture.
4. Good understanding of Automotive communication standards (ISO9141, CAN, etc.)
5. Previous experience in the Automotive locksmith industry would be beneficial.
6. Use of vehicle logging tools (e.g., Vehicle Spy, CANcaseXL or equivalent).
7. Good knowledge of PCs including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
8. Proficient in English both oral and written.
9. Full UK driving licence.
