Accounts Assistant

We are now recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team. Responsible for data entry onto computer systems, maintenance of accounting records, and general accounts office duties on a day-to-day basis in a busy office.

About the role

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate accounting records including existing reports
  2. Registering of Supplier invoices on the purchase ledger system
  3. Processing of invoices, credit notes, etc on the purchase ledger system
  4. Reconciling Supplier statements and accounts
  5. Updating Supplier prices on the system
  6. Accurate and timely processing of company vehicle documentation
  7. General accounts office and support duties
  8. Ensure and maintain the confidentiality of Company information.
  9. Any other duties and tasks commensurate with the role and/or as required by the Manager within your capabilities.

What you will need

Required criteria:

  • 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above including English and Maths
  • Minimum of one year’s finance experience
  • Previous experience of computerised accounts
  • Proficient in MS Office with experience of IT Systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Works well on own initiative and as part of a team in a highly challenging and demanding work environment
  • Can travel to and from work areas as and when required
  • Flexibility to work overtime as and when required
  • Good time keeper

Desired criteria:

  • Third Level Qualification and/or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
