This is a great opportunity to join an established pharmaceutical company as a Territory Manager - Animal Health.

As a Territory Manager within the clients Pet team, your role will be to take advantage of the many opportunities the territory has to offer in order to grow sales, whilst working with the wider teams to deliver objectives defined in a Territory plan.

The successful candidate will be driven, passionate and be able to build and nurture strong relationships with key external stakeholders. The candidate should also be capable of having both strategic business and clinical discussions with the customer when pitching for new business.

This role is predominately based on face to face customer interactions but there will be an element of virtual interactions with customers according to their needs.


Responsibilities:
  1. Be responsible for achieving territory sales targets within local cost budgets and execute brand activities as directed in accordance with overall sales and marketing strategies.
  2. Achieve sales targets led by a strategic territory plan focusing on customer segmentation and targeting.
  3. Drive a high level of customer service/contact and promote the company, its products and activities at all levels within the marketplace.
  4. Identify new business opportunities by monitoring territory market trends, competitor products & customer needs and include these in the Territory plan.
  5. Develop business relationships with key stakeholders & ensure a high level of support and promotion of the Company’s products.
  6. Work with the wider Pet team to achieve profitable growth in the targeted customer segments.
  7. Work collaboratively with support functions to ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications:
  1. Degree level education or equivalent experience
  2. Full UK drivers licence

Person experience required:
  1. Previous experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical sales role, preferably in an animal health sector
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills
  3. Strong negotiation, selling and influencing skills
  4. Strong analytical skills
  5. Driven to succeed in achieving in sales targets
  6. Highly competent at organising and planning
  7. Demonstrable ability to build strong, long term relationships
  8. Connects well with other team members and wants to work as "one team" with shared objectives
  9. Adaptable to change
