Teradata Engineer

Whitehall Resources require a Teradata Engineer to work with a key client on a 6 month initial contract.

*Inside IR35.

*This role will involve on site work in London 2 days per week.

Role description:
As a Senior Teradata engineer, the primary objective will be to work on the Transformation of Commercial Banking Data Warehouse to GCP.

Key responsibilities:

1. Hands-on working with Teradata and other Data warehouses.
2. Implementation of Teradata utilities (BTEQ, Fast Load, Multiload, TPT etc.) for efficient Data loading.
3. Transformation of Teradata in GCP.

1. Hands-on experience working with Teradata and other Data warehouses.
2. Deep expertise in Teradata architecture, star schema, snowflake schema, SQL optimization, and Data Modelling.
3. Experience in implementation of Teradata utilities (BTEQ, Fast Load, Multiload, TPT etc.) for efficient Data loading.
4. Expertise in Teradata utilities Viewpoint, Query Grid, TD Stats, and TDWM.
5. Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
6. Experience with Teradata performance tuning, workload management (TASM), and partitioning strategies.
7. Experience with Teradata in GCP.
