If stability and work-life balance are your priorities, this role could be an excellent fit for you! I am partnering with a specialist MEP contractor to recruit a Temporary Works Coordinator for the delivery of temporary mechanical and electrical works on two major projects, valued at £20 billion and £40 billion. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for long-term job security over the next 15 years, along with the flexibility of hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Temporary Works for assigned packages, adhering to BS 5975:2019 and relevant procedures.
  • Work closely with client, contractors' Temporary Works Coordinators (TWCs), and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project and legislative standards.
  • Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations 2015, prioritising safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Report to the Temporary Works Designated Individual (TWDI) and coordinate with the project Temporary Works Lead to maintain proper documentation and execution.
  • Guide and develop Temporary Works Supervisors (TWSs), promoting safety and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and address Temporary Works challenges, ensuring solutions align with project goals and safety standards.
  • Participate in Tier 1 Contractor workshops, attend meetings, and provide expert Temporary Works guidance to project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of construction techniques and Temporary Works.
  • Strong understanding of BS 5975:2019.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Temporary Works Coordinator in an Engineering Construction environment.
  • Certification from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) as a Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations design obligations.
  • Proven experience managing complex Temporary Works projects.

Your contribution will be recognised, valued, and rewarded. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider business, helping with quality and process improvements (if that’s your area of interest).

What's on offer:

A salary between £55,000 and £68,000 per annum (negotiable), with a car allowance of £5,420 per annum, 5-day week or 9-day fortnight, travel/accommodation reimbursed through expenses, pension, flexible/hybrid working, and 25 days of holiday.
