Temporary Works Coordinator

Salary up to £51,000 per annum, plus, company car or car allowance

42.5 hours per week Monday - Friday

Are you a skilled professional with a passion for construction and engineering? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join our dynamic team focused on capital projects.

About the Role:

As a Temporary Works Coordinator for capital projects, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing temporary structures, systems, and processes essential for our large-scale construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all temporary works are safe, compliant, and effectively coordinated, contributing to the overall success of our capital projects.

  • Coordinate the design, installation, and maintenance of temporary works on-site
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures
  • Liaise with designers, contractors, and project managers to ensure compliance
  • Maintain records of designs, approvals, inspections, and modifications
  • Provide training to site staff on temporary works procedures and safety
  • Ensure execution of temporary works meets project timelines and quality standards
  • Report to the General Manager and ensure adherence to client procedures
  • Stay updated with training on temporary works procedures and legislation
  • Develop and maintain a Temporary Works Management Plan and register
  • Serve as the primary contact for temporary works matters
  • Ensure designs are properly checked, certified, and compliant
  • Conduct inspections to verify correct erection, use, and dismantling of temporary works
  • Review and comment on temporary works designs and contractors' RAMS
  • Supervise installations and issue permits to load and dismantle
  • Perform weekly inspections of temporary works
  • Obtain, review, and record competencies for temporary works roles
  • Deliver toolbox talks and provide advice to site operatives
  • Maintain contact with the Regional Director, Principal Designer, and Health & Safety team
  • Cultivate a positive, customer-focused culture
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and meet KPI targets
  • Protect and maintain company assets
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and local communities

Role Criteria:

  • HNC in Construction or equivalent qualification (desirable)
  • Good practical knowledge of BS5975:2019
  • Advance Scaffold Inspection
  • IOSH or other H&S qualification
