Temporary Recruiter - Early Talent

Duration: 20 weeks (approx. 5 months)

Pay: £180 - £200 per day plus holiday pay accrual

Location: London - office-based with some flexibility (Monday & Friday are mandatory office days)

Key Experience: Early Talent Recruitment in the UK market, volume interview experience

Our global management consultancy client is looking for a Recruiter with Early Talent experience. This position is vital in ensuring high standards are maintained during the Early Talent assessment process for graduate, intern, and apprenticeship candidates. As an Interviewing Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will manage a high volume of interviews, ensuring that quality, consistency, and fairness are upheld, all while providing a seamless and top-tier candidate experience. This role requires a solid understanding of recruitment processes and the Early Talent market within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Interviewing:

  • Conduct a high volume of in-person final interviews at the London office during peak recruitment periods.
  • Provide support and guidance to interviewing managers.
  • Welcome candidates to the office and assist the Interview Co-ordinator as needed.
  • Support candidates in preparing for recruitment stages by hosting Q&A sessions, making phone calls, and utilizing other communication channels.
  • Conduct second-stage virtual interviews using the recruitment platform, providing scoring and feedback.
  • Communicate outcomes to candidates and offer verbal feedback when requested.
  • Help manage a busy candidate inbox, addressing queries and ensuring any requested interview adjustments are arranged.

Candidate Management and Experience:

  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure candidates are screened and progressed in a timely manner for a smooth experience.
  • Oversee the candidate assessment journey, ensuring a positive experience from application to offer stage, with a focus on empathy, transparency, and communication.
  • Maintain fairness and consistency, keeping UK diversity targets and local demand in mind.
  • Stay updated on business changes and external factors that may impact recruitment (e.g., visa or recruitment restrictions).
  • Manage a digital chat platform, engaging with candidates to enhance their experience and improve conversion rates.
  • Provide support for candidate calls on an ad hoc basis, such as start date calls or updates.
  • Continuously improve candidate communication and the overall experience.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide ad hoc support to team members as needed.
  • Identify and escalate issues to leads or other teams when necessary.

Skills and Experience:

  • Volume interviewing experience is essential. An Occupational Psychology background is helpful.
  • Experience training interviewers is required.
  • Familiarity with professional services environments and understanding the graduate recruitment market is essential.
  • Knowledge of ethical interview practices and the Equality Act is important.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday experience is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a broad audience, from apprentices to senior leadership.
  • Quick to learn new information and technologies.
  • Ability to manage changing demands.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
