Job description

Our client is seeking a qualified accountant to support finance and operations within the Principal Direct Investments team, with a focus on transformation initiatives and the implementation of a portfolio monitoring tool. This role offers exposure to both financial and operational aspects of investment management, requiring strong system implementation experience, analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements.

Job Duties:

• Support the implementation of a portfolio monitoring tool, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy.
• Conduct data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and troubleshooting during system implementation.
• Drive operational efficiencies and continuous process improvements to support business growth.
• Coordinate and review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Support fund operations, financial data reviews, and risk management processes.
• Assist with BAU activities, including NAV reviews, investment support, and financial reporting.
• Develop key financial reports, including asset ownership, IRR, MOIC, contributions, and distributions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, and investment teams to align strategies.
• Provide training and support to end-users of the new portfolio monitoring tool.
• Act as a change ambassador, leading local implementation of transformation initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least three years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong understanding of NAV calculations, fund accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
• Experience in system implementation and change management within financial services.
• Exceptional analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in fund accounting systems, fund structures, fund cash flows, and Microsoft Office Suite.
