Tekla Draughtsperson

About the Role

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality steel products and services, specialising in solutions such as balustrades, railings, gates, staircases, fire escapes, structural steelwork, and architectural metalwork.
They are currently seeking a Tekla Draughtsman to join their team in Peterlee. This full-time, on-site role will involve using Tekla software to create detailed drawings and models for steel fabrication. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and architects to ensure the accuracy of technical plans, translating design concepts into workable solutions for construction and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Use Tekla software to produce detailed 3D models and drawings.
2. Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure design accuracy.
3. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create technical plans.
4. Ensure compliance with building regulations and construction standards.
5. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ensure the quality of the designs.
6. Communicate effectively with the team to resolve design issues and meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

1. Proficiency in Tekla software and CAD drafting.
2. Experience in structural steel detailing and fabrication.
3. Strong understanding of building regulations and construction processes.
4. Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings and technical specifications.
5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
7. Experience in the steel fabrication industry is advantageous.
