Tekla Designer

Singh & Jones are working with an innovative and forward Design Consultancy, who have a wealth of experience within design and engineering of SFS, Light Gauge Steel Framing, Structural Steelwork (Hot Rolled) and Modular Build projects across the UK.

The Tekla Designer - (hybrid) role will report directly to the Design Manager and your duties will include:

1. Producing Tekla GA models from client's drawings for the production of preliminary material lists, fabrication and fitting drawings.
2. Being adept in producing modular volumetric designs.
3. Ensuring that all models and drawings are delivered in line with project fabrication programme.
4. Checking your own work to ensure all modelling and drawings are produced to the highest of standards and quality.
5. Attending Site Surveys.
6. Working as part of a team and providing support to other members of the Drawing Office and other departments as required for the successful delivery of projects.
7. Managing and mentoring junior designers.

In return, the Tekla Designer will be offered a competitive salary package, along with support towards professional qualifications. Having a background in steel frame detailing with a core focus on Modular build would be advantageous.
