About the role:
The Technology Project Manager will work closely with the IT department and the Customer Experience Director, as well as various departmental heads and system users. This role will provide support as and when required to all projects with IT touchpoints and technical support requirements, within both Insite Energy and its JV Kurve Technologies.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Operational support of ‘my insite’, raising bug and change request tickets for ‘my insite’.
- Operational support of KURVE, raising bug and change request tickets for KURVE.
- Collation of data for KURVE monthly reporting inc. meter health.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Project planning and Management:
- Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria following Insite procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, goals, risks, and status reports.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the execution of projects.
- Lead proposed projects to sign-off.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and change requests.
- Ensure all new or changed processes are documented and recorded in Insite’s QMS.
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet project demands and constraints.
Stakeholder Management:
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders including senior management, clients, and business units.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
- Engage externally as and where appropriate e.g., clients, suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulations, and standards.
- Ensure training plans are documented and rolled out across all relevant stakeholders and affected departments.
Monitoring & reporting:
- Track all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business needs.
- Report on project milestones, timelines, and performance.
- Track project costs and ensure financial performance aligns with budget forecasts.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and management.
Location and working hours:
Hybrid role with remote working from home plus defined days office based at Insite’s London office in Moorgate. Occasional travel to suppliers and Insite’s Peterborough office (PE1 5DD) where appropriate.
37.5 hours per week.
Required skills and attributes:
This role requires a solid understanding of IT systems, though formal qualifications or deep technical expertise are not necessary; the key focus is on strong project management and effective communication skills, ideally supported by experience in metering or the utilities industry.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Project management certification e.g., PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2/Agile certification.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on technology projects including software development, infrastructure, and systems implementation projects.
- Knowledge of network and systems architecture, database technologies, API’s and cloud services, to enable informed liaison with suppliers/developers.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
- Experience of writing detailed scope of works to instruct external suppliers/developers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with teams across the business and effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Problem-solving aptitude with attention to detail.
- Analytical thinking and ability to understand technical and business aspects of projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High degree of initiative and accountability.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Web Apps, AI technologies, IoT and ERP systems.
- Proven experience with CRM systems and Power BI analytics.
