Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 dependant on experience

Technology Architect: Ageas have an exciting opportunity to join our IT department as a Technology Architect. It’s a time of growth and modernisation at Ageas, and the Technology Architect is a newly developed role that will be crucial in ensuring the effective and efficient design of IT based solutions within Ageas UK. The Technology Architect will own and communicate the overall technology architecture, including Cloud and On-Premise IT Infrastructure, and ensure that the technology solution is well aligned to the Architecture Principles, Strategy and IT Blueprint.

Main Responsibilities as Technology Architect:

• Technology Solution Designs (HLD/LLD) - Work alongside the Solution Architect and/or programme/project/product team to elaborate and refine the Technical Architecture into a deliverable solution with an assessment against scope, impact, architectural principles and architectural measures.
• Work alongside the Solution Architect and/or programme/project/product team to further elaborate and refine the agreed technology layer architecture with a lower level of detail to complement the solution design being completed by the Solution Delivery team/Solution Architect.
• Design Authority - communicate the agreed Technical Architecture to the programme/project/product team ensuring full understanding of the ‘why’ and ‘what’ supporting the solution; support the Solution Delivery team with architectural advice and guidance through design, delivery and implementation of the solution; provide an escalation point for architectural blockers, issues and challenges.
• Contribute to the enterprise architecture work required to support the organisation, specific to the technology layer concerns.
• Establish and maintain the link between the implementation of the architectures and the stated strategy and objectives of the organization (business and IT) tied to the Solution Architecture HLD.

Skills and experience you need as Technology Architect:

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, essential for interacting with key stakeholders at all levels across the business.
• Experience working in Financial Services, specifically Insurance, would be beneficial.
• Ability to keep up to date with technology trends and innovations to enable Ageas to leverage any opportunities.
• Possesses a distinctive blend of business acumen and IT knowledge.
• An up-to-date knowledge of architectural standards e.g. TOGAF.
