Job description

Frontline Recruitment Weymouth is seeking an enthusiastic Technologist for our client in Maiden Newton. You will report to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conceptualize and execute new product development projects, overseeing the entire process from inception to full-scale manufacture.
  2. Stay current with industry trends and legislation changes to maintain a competitive edge.
  3. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to establish technical specifications that meet project goals.
  4. Conduct rigorous testing to ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  5. Develop and implement technical solutions for product improvement, troubleshooting, and problem-solving as needed.
  6. Contribute to laboratory testing, documenting results and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  1. Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  2. Industrial manufacturing experience and a solid understanding of chemistry and formulations.
  3. Familiarity with raw materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes for project execution.
  4. Proven project management capabilities, including resource and time planning.
  5. Cost-conscious and customer-focused approach to work.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Work Schedule:

Compensation:

Permanent role offering a salary paying pro rata up to 43K pa (based on full time of 37.5 hours per week).
