Further Information

Newcastle City Council is seeking to appoint a Technician within our Care and Repair, Minor Adaptations Service, part of the Fairer Housing Units’ Capital Programme team.

The successful applicant will work supporting people to find the right solutions for them so they can retain and regain their independence and live successfully and safely in their own home.

It is a rewarding role within a very busy service area, so the successful applicant will need to be an effective communicator with good problem-solving skills. They will be directly responsible for the upkeep of client information and co-ordination of service delivery so must have a high degree of competence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

You will be the first port of call for people coming into the service, so must be able to multitask and demonstrate good customer service skills whilst working in a busy and vibrant service area.

We want individuals who are enthusiastic about helping people and have a strong track record of delivering excellent customer service, who are able to prioritise their workload to get the best outcomes. Experience of working with a range of partners is a must, and a background of working in a health or care assessment environment would be a distinct advantage.

In return, we can offer a flexible working environment based in a dynamic enthusiastic team and the opportunity to make a really positive change to people's lives.
