About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Writer.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and maintain user guides, reference manuals, and online help documentation for the Insurance Underwriting API.
2. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and gain a deep understanding of the API’s functionality and use cases.
3. Simplify complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that meets the needs of various audiences.
4. Ensure all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and adheres to company standards for style and quality.
5. Regularly update and refine documentation based on user feedback and modifications to the API, ensuring it remains relevant and useful.
6. Develop diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to enhance understanding of the API and improve user experience.
7. Review and edit documentation produced by other team members to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with APIs or technical documentation in the software industry.
3. Strong understanding of API concepts and documentation best practices.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, HTML, Confluence, or similar).
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
