Technical Writer

Location: UK, London
Length: 6 months
Rate: £40.38 p/h (Inside IR35)
Hours: 40 hours

Overview:
As a Senior Technical Writer, you will collaborate with Engineers, Research Scientists, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to create technical documentation, "how-to" resources, and training materials. This role will focus on AI/ML engineering workflows and processes. Your work will help simplify complex technical topics and ensure they are accessible to a wide range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
    Work closely with Engineers, Research Scientists, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to gather insights and create clear, concise technical documentation for AI/ML processes.
  • Create Technical Resources:
    Develop and maintain “how-to” guides, training programs, and other forms of documentation that explain complex technical topics in an easy-to-understand way, making them accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical Orientation:
    Focus on developing documentation to onboard new team members, with an emphasis on AI/ML workflows, engineering processes, and tools.

    Ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders, gathering input and feedback to create effective documentation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    10+ years of demonstrated experience in writing software/hardware documentation, specifically in a docs-as-code approach. Ideal candidates will have experience or similar global tech organizations.
  • Educational Background:
    BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Industry Experience:
    Familiarity with AI/ML tech stacks, software engineering, or previous experience as a Technical Writer in AI/ML or similar fields.
