Technical Trainer

Combilift are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Technical Trainer to deliver high quality product training to the Combilift UK Dealer network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift operation, maintenance, and safety, and will have a passion for training and developing others.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to build valuable relationships within the Combilift UK dealer network. This role offers professional growth and the perfect blend of education and engineering excellence.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Engineer, Trainer or Field Service Manager with strong presentation and communication skills, to take the next step in their career.

Technical Trainer Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver effective technical training programmes to the Combilift UK dealer network.
2. Conduct both classroom-based and practical hands-on training sessions.
3. Arrange training with the dealer network from initial enquiry to training completion.
4. Identify individual training needs and support engineers in their professional learning and development, on the Combilift products.
5. Maintain training records and produce high-quality lesson plans and materials.
6. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the training function.
7. Work as a member of the Technical Training Team, as well as delivering training independently.

Knowledge and Experience:

1. Strong technical knowledge of forklifts, including operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
2. Demonstrable experience in a people facing training role.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
4. Positive and self-motivated, with the ability to champion Combilift.
5. Administrative, record keeping and report writing skills.
6. Effective, confident, and clear written communication skills.
7. Be able to work under pressure.
8. Be able to work within agreed time-scales.
9. Good and proficient knowledge and experience of computer systems – word, Microsoft office & power point.
10. Knowledge and experience of the Combilift products, but advanced training will be provided to assist with the role being offered.
11. Hold a valid UK driving licence.
12. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
