Technical Support/ Trainee Technical Support

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for a Technical Support to join our representable client - an award-winning Chartered Financial Planners. Our client is consistently voted as one of the Top 100 UK financial advice firms.

How does the day-to-day look?

1. Assist with fund research and analysis at both client and company levels, ensuring accurate recording and follow-up.
2. Gather technical product research and provide solutions.
3. Perform financial and tax calculations.
4. Develop cash flow modelling systems and techniques.
5. Help prepare initial financial plans and solutions to meet client goals.
6. Support the maintenance of compliant client recommendation reports/letters.
7. Assist Wealth Managers in client investment, pension, and tax planning, offering suggestions and confirming proposed actions.
8. Manage time and caseload effectively.
9. Support preparation of compliant suitability reports.
10. Observe meetings and document notes.
11. Provide technical administrative support, including setting up policies and trusts, processing client changes, preparing meeting packs, and trading client funds.
12. Update client information and ensure tasks are diarised in Intelliflo Office (iO).
13. Maintain strong relationships with providers and escalate issues when needed.
14. Assist with the annual review process.

You will have:

1. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to adjust to meet target audience needs.
2. Self-motivated, accountable and committed with excellent team player skills.
3. Ability to work alone, whilst being within a team and proactively contributing to it (ideas, suggestions) with supervision available.
4. Strong organisational skills with flexibility to meet different tasks, requirements and expectations whilst remaining calm, and be able to prioritise accordingly whilst meeting deadlines.
5. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to problem solve using various techniques.
7. Work towards being able to analyse and comment on various tax planning scenarios.
8. Excellent IT skills particularly using Microsoft Office suite, Word, Excel, & Outlook.
9. Previous experience of Microsoft Teams and Intelligent Office would be advantageous.
10. Previous experience of working in the Financial Services sector providing administrative support and some technical support.
11. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
12. Minimum of 1 R0 unit towards the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning qualification, preferably 2 and willing to work towards gaining others required to attain the full Diploma.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 08:30am - 5:00pm

Salary:

£31,050 - £36,000
