Technical Services Manager
Location: Sharnbrook, MK44 1LQ
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:45
Salary: £50-55k

An established UK-based provider of integrated facilities management is seeking a Technical Services Manager to join their team. With a national presence across over 350 operational sites and more than 1800 employees, this company values a fast-paced, friendly, and collaborative working culture.

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading a team of five technical staff at a key site, ensuring technical excellence and full compliance with SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) policies. You will also produce technical reports, manage larger or more complex projects, and maintain close liaison with the client to ensure their needs are fully understood and met.

Energy management and monthly financial reporting are key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will ensure a high-performing team, overseeing all planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure they are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant legislation.

Please note: This role requires travel to site during call out periods. Due to the site's location, having your own transport is essential.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  1. Recognised electrical qualifications (C&G or equivalent)
  2. AP2 authorisation
  3. Competency in electrical systems
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Client-focused mindset with a drive for excellence and efficiency
  6. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  7. Familiarity with CAFM systems (desirable)
  8. Experience in commercial HVAC systems
  9. Proven people management capabilities
  10. Strong knowledge of relevant SHE legislation
  11. Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience with Building Management Systems (ideally Trend)
  2. Experience with Lenel Security Systems
  3. Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or building services

This role offers a 37.5-hour working week and operates on a 1-in-5 week call-out/standby rota. A comprehensive benefits package is available from day one.
