Job Title: Working Supervisor

Location: Kings Cross

Salary: £50,000

Job Type: Full-time: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm or 7am - 4pm


About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Working Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team. This role is a blend of practical, on-the-tools work and administrative duties, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers while also carrying out maintenance tasks yourself.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring high standards of work.
  2. Undertake hands-on maintenance duties including (but not limited to) electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
  3. Plan and allocate daily work schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  4. Carry out regular site inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  5. Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining records, and managing work orders.
  6. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth service delivery.
  7. Provide training and mentoring to team members.
  8. Respond to urgent maintenance issues and ensure timely resolutions.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Skills & Experience Required

  1. Proven experience in facilities management.
  2. Strong hands-on technical skills (Electrical bias).
  3. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  4. Ability to balance on-the-tools work with administrative duties.
  5. Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  7. Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office.
  8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  9. Full UK driving licence (if applicable).
