Role Overview:

As a Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of fit-out projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions. This is a leadership role where you will manage a team, coordinate subcontractors, and liaise with clients to ensure all technical requirements are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage all technical aspects of fit-out projects from concept through to completion.
2. Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
3. Ensure that all work complies with the latest regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
4. Work closely with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to deliver technically sound and efficient solutions.
5. Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and quality.
6. Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and maintaining strong relationships.
7. Assist in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring optimal use of materials and labor.
8. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends to bring innovative ideas to the business.

Skills & Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Technical Services Manager or in a similar technical management role within the fit-out or construction sectors.
2. Strong technical knowledge of fit-out construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
3. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within tight deadlines.
5. Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
6. Proficiency in using project management software and technical tools.
7. A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
8. Professional qualifications such as MCIOB or equivalent are an advantage.
9. Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH) are a plus.
