Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Technical SEO Specialist with at least four years of agency experience to join our professional team. You will be responsible for optimising clients' owned digital channels, including their websites, social media profiles, and Google My Business (GMB) listings, to ensure maximum visibility and performance across search engines.

This role involves technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and link-building, with a focus on purchasing high-quality links while also working closely with our PR team to support their efforts in acquiring organic links. You will work across a portfolio of around ten SME clients, making strong time management and clear reporting essential skills for success.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical SEO & Website Optimisation:

  • Conduct detailed site audits to identify and resolve issues such as crawl errors, site speed, mobile usability, and indexation problems.
  • Implement structured data, optimise metadata, and refine internal linking strategies.
  • Work with developers to ensure SEO best practices are embedded in site architecture.

On-Page & Content Strategy:

  • Develop and optimise keyword-rich content for blogs, landing pages, and other on-site assets.
  • Ensure clients' websites remain fresh and up to date with relevant, search-optimised content.
  • Assist in shaping content strategies that drive engagement and rankings.

Optimisation of Owned Channels (Website, Social & GMB):

  • Take full responsibility for managing and optimising clients’ Google My Business profiles to improve local search performance.
  • Ensure social media channels are properly set up, optimised, and aligned with wider SEO goals.
  • Provide guidance on social content best practices to support organic search visibility.

Link Building & Digital PR Support:

  • Manage the purchasing of high-quality backlinks to support SEO objectives.
  • Work closely with the PR team, providing data-driven insights to help identify and acquire organic links through outreach and content marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and manage backlink profiles to ensure compliance with search engine guidelines.

Client Management & Reporting:

  • Manage a portfolio of ten SME clients, ensuring their SEO strategies are executed effectively and tailored to their needs.
  • Produce clear and insightful reports, translating SEO data into actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain regular client communication, providing updates on progress, results, and next steps.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A minimum of four years' technical SEO experience in an agency setting.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO principles, including website structure, crawlability, and indexation.
  • Experience in optimising websites, Google My Business listings, and social media channels for search visibility.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Experience in creating and optimising SEO-driven content for websites.
  • Proven experience in purchasing links and knowledge of ethical link acquisition practices.
  • Ability to provide strategic input to the PR team to help them identify and acquire organic links.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills to balance multiple clients effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise, data-driven reports.
  • Native English Required: Only candidates with English as their first language will be considered.
