The Company

My client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery automation solutions to a wide variety of industries. The company has been established for over 70 years and currently employs over 12,000 people worldwide; they have become a centre of excellence within automated process machinery to the FMCG industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional field service engineer, with electrical service and commissioning experience.

Overview

The role of the Technical Sales Project Manager - Process Technology, is to deliver and lead on all process technology related aspects during all project stages (quotation, order processing, commissioning by supporting service and after sales) in cooperation with the local Sales and Procurement department as well as the central team Business Line Breweries and processing.

This role requires a high degree of technicality, which will require a solid technical background and require a high degree of self-sufficiency and flexibility.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Lead on reviewing enquiry documentation and agreeing specifications with customers.
2. Lead on any new Process and Product Technology/innovation.
3. Agreeing technical data and definition of performance parameters for defined products within offer preparation and order processing.
4. Finalising commercial decisions with sales management.
5. Advising and supporting on invites for tenders and collecting offers for third-party equipment and technical cross-checking of the documentation for third-party equipment.
6. Commercially accountable for overseeing and managing the revenues and costs of the project and ensuring contract profitability is maintained.
7. Project Management experience for process technology on customer projects.
8. Support the Service Department in commissioning of the machine/plant at the customer's site.

Experience and Qualifications

1. Food / Beverage or associated industry experience.
2. Previous experience involving industrial processing machinery capital sales market.
3. Commercially astute.
4. SAP, ERP and CRM experience advantageous.
5. BEng, or relevant technical degree.
