Technical Sales Manager - Coatings - Adhesives - Aerospace - Defence

Our client is a designer and manufacturer of long-lasting, customized materials - adhesives, coatings, technical films, glues, and chemical products who ensures responsible industrial performance in the Aerospace & Defence, Mobility & Industries and Healthcare & Hygiene markets.

They are looking to recruit a self-motivated, ambitious individual for this Technical Sales Manager position with aerospace consumables, coatings, or related chemical experience.

About the Role:
  1. To identify and call regularly on key customers and prospects, meeting key decision makers and presenting proposals.
  2. The role will be home-based and require external sales visits and marketing events, with frequent trips to the company's facilities in the UK. The Technical Sales Manager must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner and have excellent communication skills to maintain and develop key relationships.
  3. To achieve sales targets set by and agreed with the VP Sales.
  4. To support and ensure continuity of business with customers through recognised account management techniques.
  5. To develop a time management programme and journey plan ensuring that customers are regularly visited at a frequency related to their expenditure and needs.
  6. To technically support the customer.
  7. To develop and maintain an accurate market profile and records of key customers, contacts, and specifications.
  8. To prepare proposals, quotes and offers to customers as required.
  9. Work with the customer services department and Operations manager to ensure the best quality services is offered to customers.
Profile:
  1. Knowledge of coatings, aerospace manufacturing techniques or related chemical sales.
  2. Experienced in sales, with formal training in sales techniques and recognised account management skills.
