Technical Sales Manager - £75,000 + 15% Annual Bonus + Company Car + 34 Days Holiday + 35 hour working week (Mon-Fri 8.30am-4.00pm) + Career Progression in Growing Business!

The Company
We are working with a market leader who is experiencing significant growth. They have some exciting future growth plans and are looking to add a Technical Sales Manager to their team.

You will be joining an international team of experienced industry professionals to work within the manufacturing industry. The company can provide a realistic career growth path for the right individual.

The Role
Working within the sales function, the Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and transforming the business in the Industrial Sector, with a specific focus on vibration control products. This role is a combination of new business development & account management across the EMEA region.

Located from the Halifax offices, the job involves extensive international travel, both within Europe, the US, and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Builds and develops external relationships with Licensees and Service Representatives.
  2. Formulates an annual plan for the review of Licensees/Representative connections, implements any changes needed to contractual agreements or pricing.
  3. Creates and implements a pricing strategy for Damper Service, OEM sales, spares, and special products with an awareness of the external market and internal company costings.
  4. Designs a marketing strategy that supports the product line and encourages new business, initiating advertising campaigns where appropriate.
  5. Services current customers by maintaining rapport, making periodic visits, identifying new business opportunities, responding to requests, and resolving issues.
  6. Identifies new customers by studying sales statistics, estimating potential sales volume, and qualifying potential customers.
  7. Develops new customers by establishing new distribution channels, explaining product potential to retailers, identifying possibilities for product improvements and new product innovations.
  8. Achieves sales objectives by obtaining and negotiating contracts.
  9. Prepares account information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

What We Are Looking For
The Technical Sales Manager will be an ambitious individual with a proven track record of international business development within the manufacturing/engineering sector.

Ideally, you will be/have:

  1. Extensive sales experience, ideally focused on industrial vibration control products.
  2. Strong understanding of marine, power generation, and large plant engineering technology (design, technical requirements).
  3. Strong track record of success in sales, both within existing accounts and generating new business.
  4. Theoretical understanding and practical experience of business culture in European, North American & Asian markets.
  5. Good negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  6. Entrepreneurial, self-motivating attitude, highly independent, proactive working style.
  7. Successfully completed Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Studies, or equivalent.
  8. Very good skills in MS-Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  9. Willingness to travel extensively, both within Europe and internationally.
