Technical Sales Engineer who has an understanding of commercial fire sprinkler rules and/or residential sprinkler rules with AutoCAD experience is required for a well-established company based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, North West England.

SALARY: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Generous Benefits (see below)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for either a Technical Sales Engineer or a Fire Sprinkler Engineer or Fire Sprinkler Project Manager who is looking to move into Technical Sales.

Working as a Technical Sales Engineer you will leverage your existing expertise and play a crucial role in driving sales growth, which will involve conducting site surveys, visiting client sites to assess their specific fire protection needs, taking measurements, reviewing plans, and understanding operational requirements to determine appropriate solutions.

As the Technical Sales Engineer you will also proactively generate sales leads by networking, building relationships with contractors and developers, researching potential projects, and making targeted outreach.

Your role will also involve preparing and submitting competitive tender documents, which will require the development of detailed technical specifications, accurate cost estimations, and realistic project timelines, along with technical drawings.

You will deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, articulating complex concepts clearly, highlighting the value of the offering, and addressing concerns.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through excellent customer service is vital.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Technical Sales Engineer include:

  1. Attend site surveys when required and in line with client requirements and company standards and expectations
  2. Generate and secure sales leads for new contracts and work with other members of the Sales Team
  3. Completion and Submission of Tenders to prospective and existing clients following company processes and standards
  4. Completion of Contract Handovers to Relevant Department for each project as required
  5. Schedule appointments, preparing, and delivering presentations to customers having researched their business and requirements
  6. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline with targeted entities to continuously grow the business and generate sales
  7. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to effectively demonstrate the full capability, experience, and expertise of the Company

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Understanding of commercial sprinkler rules and/or residential sprinkler rules
  2. AutoCAD Experience
  3. Excellent communication/customer-facing skills
  4. Disciplined and organised
  5. Able to work on own initiative, unsupervised, but also contribute to an effective team
  6. Attention to detail and ability to apply analytical thinking in problem-solving
  7. Experience working within a customer-facing role, and the ability to build strong customer relationships
