The Technical Sales Engineer will work closely with customers to best understand their technical needs and effectively translate customer needs to design requirements in partnership with the product development team.

Primary Responsibilities:
Partner with sales team to determine customer requirements
Build and test prototypes for customer applications
Program and tune 3D vision system
Develop robot programs to verify application feasibility
Own technical relationship with customer
Simultaneously manage multiple customer projects to ensure that all relevant technical information is documented, and products are delivered on time.
Provide applications/sales engineering support (robot setup and testing) for development engineering
Support on-site installs and maintenance
Provide phone (tech) support and troubleshooting for customers
Provide training for customers and Oxipital AI employees
Design, build, and program tradeshow systems and represent Oxipital AI as a technical expert
Provide applications/sales engineering support (including creating use case videos) to marketing team
Ensure technical manuals are correct and complete
Develop application notes to expand on manuals as needed
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; specialization in robotics
Minimum 2 years experience working in Solutions Engineering role or similar
Ability to program and work with robots typically used in industrial or general automation (e.g., one or more of ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa)
Experience with industrial controls (e.g., studio5000)
Experience with 3D design modeling tools; Solidworks experience
Experience with vision systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with MS Office suite
Experience working with SalesForce
Start-up experience
Positive can-do attitude with a passionate customer-focused problem-solving approach
Ability to commute and work in the Bedford, MA office
