Technical Project Manager

Working with a leading brand in Worcester looking for a permanent Technical Project Manager to join them during an exciting period of growth. £55-£65,000 base + bonus and benefits. 2 days a week on site with the rest from home.

Primary Purpose of Role
This role will be delivering IT & Digital consulting and delivery services to existing and new clients whilst also supporting the existing IT & Digital Transformation team in growing the department.

This role will be diverse and require multi-skilling with many different client projects to deliver.

The ideal person for this role will be someone who has high IT technical knowledge but also has experience of delivering IT & Digital projects to clients. This person needs to be highly proficient in writing reports to present to senior people in client businesses. It is also key this person has the motivation and drive to grow and develop the existing IT & Digital department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivering client projects as either part of a team or as the sole engagement manager. Some examples of projects the individual would be expected to deliver include:
1. IT Due Diligence - Conducting in-depth reviews of a client's IT systems, licensing, infrastructure, and governance to highlight risks and identify opportunities that new technology could bring that would be of interest to potential acquirers.
2. A current state assessment of a client's IT systems, processes, and procedures to produce a high-level RAG report and a set of actionable recommendations.
3. Specification and selection of new systems for a client i.e., ERP, Finance Systems, WMS, etc. Gathering detailed requirements, researching the marketplace, scoring vendors, and facilitating the selection of applicable solutions.
4. Conducting license reviews for clients to advise on the most cost-effective licensing methods.
5. Assisting clients to produce IT and Digital Transformation Strategies.
6. Project managing the implementation of new systems for clients.
