Technical Project Manager

My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to hire an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their established team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing Chemical Engineering projects, will hold a PhD in Chemistry, will have previous COMAH experience and will be based within a commutable distance of Standish, Wigan.

Technical Project Manager Job Overview

1. Manage all phases of project including design, procurement, planning, installation and evaluation
2. Overseeing New product development
3. Identifying, planning and managing resources which may include liaising with external contractors
4. Identifying and managing potential risks in the project
5. Delivering projects on time, to expected quality standards and within budget
6. Contribute to the verification and signing off of designs
7. Writing Technical Reports
8. Material characterisation

Technical Project Manager Job Requirements

1. Ideally PhD qualified in Chemistry; Masters and Bachelor level degrees will be considered
2. Demonstrable previous experience in the Chemical industry
3. Any previous experience in Polymer Chemistry would be highly beneficial
4. Previous experience handling large scale Engineering projects from cradle to grave
5. A familiarity of managing the commercial aspects of Engineering projects
6. Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Technical Project Manager Salary & Benefits

Salary £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
