Job Description:

Technical Product Manager / IoT Product Manager / Technical Product Designer needed by a world-leading manufacturer of fire, heat, and smoke safety hardware and software solutions to ensure cohesion between a range of connected products.

The client is looking to develop a new product, so the Technical Product Manager / IoT Product Manager / Technical Product Designer is needed to begin the ideation process, potentially exploring the option of expanding the target market.

This is a hands-on role, with the client searching for someone who will actively seek out information and help where needed. The Technical Product Manager / IoT Product Manager / Technical Product Designer will report into the Head of Product Delivery, working extensively with other teams, internal stakeholders, and customers to deliver products that can be used safely.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in Hertfordshire.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the roadmap from ideation to launch and beyond for hardware products.
• Work closely with the Sales and Engineering teams, as well as internal stakeholders, to develop products successfully.
• Identify where legacy products could be brought into new markets.
• Speak with customers to gather feedback that can later be used for product development.
• Ensure cohesion between connected products (including software).

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years’ B2B or B2C product management experience developing hardware or related products.
• Relevant academic background that shows appreciation for design of hardware (e.g. degree in electronic/mechanical engineering or design).
• Any software experience, such as app development, is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills to work with various teams and stakeholders.
