Role purpose

To act as an expert studio technician, working with our wider studio team to create high-quality video productions for internal and external audiences.

Our Content Studio is responsible for producing a wide range of content for use across our external and internal communications channels. As a Technical Producer within the team, you’ll have proven expert experience in live vision and sound mixing, studio engineer work, network and streaming capabilities. Supported by complementary camera and editing skills to aid in the growth and strength of our in-house team, with external industry knowledge and expertise beneficial to the smooth running of our Studio function.

You will play a crucial role in producing high-quality, creative, engaging communications from throughout the organisation. Projects will be aimed at a wide range of audiences across external and internal channels, representing all areas of the organisation – from Technology and Business, to Employer Brand, HR and Investor Relations. You’ll be responsible for streamlining production timings, for quick turnaround edits, that could be mixed and recorded live rather than in post.

Alongside this, you will work as the technical expert within the Studio team, maintaining our current kit, while also building out the future of the Studio offering. Staying across industry trends, techniques, and production set-ups to help maximise the output of the team. You will be pivotal in help drive capacity within the Studio YoY, recommending new ways of working to streamline resource.

No day will be the same, you will work across multiple projects, some long term, some last-minute. As a team we strive to deliver creative excellence across all of our projects. As the remit of the studio continues to grow, the role has huge scope to get involved in much, much more.

What you’ll do

  • This role is for a creative-minded person who can work confidently across in-house studio and on-location set-ups.
  • Confident in running pre-record and livestream productions.
  • Technically minded to help maintain and future proof the Content Studios offering.
  • Thrives on getting stuck into both quick turnaround and longer edits with great attention to detail and a creative eye.
  • Ability to confidently upskill any knowledge gaps within the existing team.

Who you are

  • 8+ years experience in video production, live streaming, studio networking and engineering in-house or agency side.
  • A portfolio of experience demonstrating desirable skills outlined above.
  • Event support – Live streaming/recording/editing - Vision and sound mixing using Vmix within both a Studio location and bespoke set-up.
  • Experience shooting with various video equipment from 4k cameras, DSLRs or even smartphones.
  • Knowledge of correct audio recording and lighting techniques.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, skills in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder and Audition in support of post-production editing.
  • Responsible for Studio project archiving and file management.
  • Responsible for Studio scheduling and project management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships within the team.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent and exceptional written and verbal English.
  • Championing skills development of Junior members of the direct and wider team.
