Technical Parts Specialist

Commercial/Office Division

We are looking for a technically minded individual to join a company based near Buckingham for a Technical Parts Specialist. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be the first point of contact for technical queries, monitoring stock levels and providing quotations for parts.

This well-established company is looking for someone who can support their growing team and provide high levels of customer service to all customers.

Working hours will be 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday.

Duties of the Technical Parts Specialist:

1. Be the first point of contact for customers' technical queries.
2. Diagnose problems and provide resolutions where possible.
3. Source and order parts, including obscure/special order parts.
4. Supply customers with quotations and follow these up to secure orders.
5. Process warranty claims.
6. Monitor and maintain stock levels.
7. Update parts manuals to ensure they hold the latest information.
8. Build relationships with suppliers.
9. Read parts manuals and identify specific item requirements.
10. Work alongside the warehouse to ensure that parts are logged and stored correctly.
11. Liaise with the sales team to keep them informed of any product changes or new details.
12. Schedule work and manage engineers’ diaries.

Personal Attributes:

1. Previous experience working within a parts department.
2. Experience within a company working with electrical and mechanical parts.
3. Good IT skills.
4. Ability to read parts manuals and identify specific item requirements.
5. Desire to learn and develop your knowledge within the company.
6. Work well as part of a team.
7. Strong organisational skills.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Interest in parts and machines, with a desire to understand how they work.

Offering £28,000-£35,000 per annum, this position includes a profit share company bonus paid after a successful 6-month probationary period.
