This is a hybrid role (three days in the office/two days remote).

About Your Team:

Interactive Brokers seeks an individual to join our Technical Operations (TOPS) team in Greenwich, CT. To offer the finest online trading experience in the world, Interactive Brokers' TOPS team monitors and provides global operational support for our applications, systems, and other critical business technology 24/7/365.

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:

1. Monitor the health of applications, networks, and systems underpinning the Interactive Brokers global brokerage system.
2. Analyze, troubleshoot, escalate and resolve brokerage system operational issues.
3. Participate in Post-Incident review in collaboration with Software Development, customer service and infrastructure teams.
4. Provide internal 2nd-level technical support to various teams.
5. Monitor batch scheduled jobs while troubleshooting and escalating any delays or failures.
6. Analyze existing business workflows and participate in developing new process monitoring tools.
7. Act as the primary escalation point for all brokerage system technical issues.
8. Investigate and triage real time trade issues with internal and external parties.

Key Requirements:

1. Strong communication skills, and must be fluent in English.
2. A Bachelor's in a financial or a technical discipline.
3. A working knowledge of general computing and networking concepts.
4. Experience working with Linux operating systems.
5. The ability to analyze and solve problems promptly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work weekends and day/night shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of the securities and commodities markets.
2. Prior experience in retail or institutional trade support.
3. Previous experience with scripting (e.g., Shell, Perl, Python).
4. Desire to explore and learn new concepts, systems and technologies.
