We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity, quality and authenticity of our award-winning food products. In this role you will provide specialised insights and essential guidance on all technical and quality matters.
It is essential you have experience working as a Technical Manager or equivalent within a food manufacturing environment, with a hands-on and flexible approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist expertise and guidance to support the food safety culture at Karimix
- Ensure all products comply with customer specifications
- Manage the QMS ensuring compliance with the latest BRCGS standard, and HACCP plans
- Facilitate and manage technical audits including GMP audits, contributing to the continuous improvement of the site standards
- Manage investigations, identifying root causes, implementing effective corrective, preventative actions and closeouts
- Lead the HACCP Team
- Collaborate with the Sales and NPD Teams to ensure product specifications are completed within agreed timescales
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of food safety and quality
- Manage annual product traceability, withdrawal, and recall testing
- Manage the periodic calibration of measuring equipment (e.g. probes and scales)
- Complete allergen rapid testing and ensure allergen samples and swabs are sent to the lab within agreed timeframes
- Contribute as part of the Karimix management team
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Technical Management role within the food manufacturing industry is essential
- Proven Technical expertise supported by a relevant qualification such as a food science degree.
- HACCP L4 Food safety qualification or equivalent
- Demonstratable leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop others
- Customer-focused with a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
- IT literate including Microsoft Word and Excel
- High standards of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.
- Flexible with a hands-on approach and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work at pace and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong organisational skills
Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary:Up to £50,000.00 per annum
Location:Based onsite at Faversham, Kent
