Technical Manager
Technical Manager - Fertiliser and Forage - South UK - £60,000 DOE + Vehicle

Are you passionate about livestock farming and forage expertise? Join our client’s team as a Technical Manager, where you’ll play a critical role in supporting feed sales teams and advising farms on seeds, fertilisers, forage additives, and crop protection products. This role combines technical know-how, sales acumen, and hands-on farm advisory work to drive forage product success across the region.

The Job:

  1. Provide technical support to feed teams and livestock/mixed farms
  2. Advise on forage production planning and analytical services (soil, forage, slurry)
  3. Build trusted relationships with farmers through crop walking and forage inspections
  4. Drive sales by recommending and supporting the use of forage products
  5. Deliver training and technical updates to feed teams
  6. Contribute to achieving local sales budgets for forage products

The Candidate:

  1. Degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience in a forage role
  2. BASIS and FACTS certifications (or willingness to achieve)
  3. Strong sales skills and a customer-first approach
  4. Excellent communication, IT, and telephone skills
  5. Team player with a passion for sustainable farming practices.
