The Company
* My client is a well-established manufacturing business, supplying high-quality products and solutions to the UK construction industry.
* They are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to support their sales team with technical and commercial expertise to optimize successful outcomes and exceed customer expectations.

The Role
* As Technical Manager, you will secure business success by effectively managing the technical support team and delivering technical support to ultimately provide an enhanced customer experience.
* Assisting and supporting the sales team in developing and maintaining their technical and business knowledge, enabling them to manage technical enquiries and confidently contribute in customer/stakeholder meetings.
* Ensuring that product testing, data capture, and certification is upheld and maintained to at least the required industry standard.
* Managing technical manuals, specifications, and documentation, ensuring compliance with both company and UK standards.
* Delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Managing training requirements for internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.
* Keeping abreast of legislative, professional body, and industry standards and being able to predict potential changes in the sector.
* Managing customer complaints through effective analysis, applying technical knowledge to dissect, understand, and resolve the issue.
* Proactively contributing to product and process development.

The Candidate
* An experienced Technical Manager or equivalent, ideally with a degree or similar in a construction/building industry-related discipline, together with demonstrable expertise in successfully fulfilling a similar role.
* Good decision-making, influencing, and people management skills.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence positively at all levels.
* Excellent technical knowledge and ability.
* Excellent communication skills and a positive, empowering management style.
* Effective coaching and training skills, with the ability to develop skill sets and knowledge within the team.
