First in 2016, followed by another M&A in 2022 and again in 2024 expanding the client base further and creating this opportunity to further expand the team!

The Role:

1. Remote access to the client's machine to resolve problems.
2. Utilize tools to continually monitor and manage problems as they arise and/or proactively prevent problems arising, working together with the service desk.
3. Assist with installs, moves, and changes. Physically building, configuring, installing or repairing IT services and solutions.
4. Take ownership of client incidents and be proactive when dealing with them.
5. Liaison with vendors to resolve issues.
6. Visit client sites and provide technical support for logged issues.
7. Work on projects which may be under the guidance of senior engineer.
8. Develop good working relationships with clients and establish a solid understanding of their infrastructure and business needs and issues. Also required to carry out some relationship management tasks.
9. Consistently document knowledgebase with client information and fixes.
10. Work within the guidelines of client specific service level agreements and objectives.

1. 3 years' experience as a Technical Engineer or a similar role within an IT support environment.
2. Excellent customer focused approach and commitment to service delivery.
3. In-depth knowledge of Windows technologies such as Windows Server and Desktop operating system.

1. Active directory and group policy administration.
2. Windows Server 2012 and above.
3. Windows Desktop 10 and above.
4. Hyper-V setup and administration.
5. Microsoft 365 tenant setup and administration.
6. SharePoint On-Line Setup and administration.
7. Strong networking capabilities (DNS, Routing, switching etc.).
8. Experience with Meraki / Draytek / Sophos firewalls.

1. Previous MSP experience highly desirable.
2. Experience with MS Teams.
3. Experience with Cloud based Managed Service Platforms.
4. VoIP knowledge, preferably Gamma.
5. Knowledge of Cisco or HP switch and router infrastructure.
6. Knowledge of scripting in PowerShell, batch files or VBScripts.
7. Network Security Technologies including IDS/IPS.
8. Knowledge of desktop imaging software/services.
