What you’ll be doing as a Technical Coordinator

  1. You will play a key role as part of a team ensuring that the water production site continues to supply our customers.
  2. You will be responsible for ensuring the materials required to maintain the plant are available for the maintenance team to complete tasks, by specifying and ordering materials.
  3. Day-to-day contractor liaison and management as well as working closely with the Operations and Planning & Scheduling Teams to provide technical support and input into future planning and solutions.
  4. Reviewing maintenance activities for continuous improvement and compliance with asset standards.
  5. This role will require a large focus on engagement and communication with key stakeholders to ensure all activities are planned effectively and efficiently.
  6. Be the lead person with specific activities within a designated area, including directing on briefed projects and providing support on larger scale projects.

Base location: Guildford GU4 8BW
Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday – Friday (from 7:30 to 15:30), plus inclusion on a standby rota after training.

What you should bring to the role

  1. Full clean UK driving licence.
  2. Previous experience of coordinating and negotiating with contractors and suppliers.
  3. Knowledge of water or manufacturing production assets and the spare parts, consumables, tools, etc.
  4. Demonstrate good business/stakeholder awareness, together with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving.
  5. Excellent communication skills to clearly interact with your operational colleagues and key stakeholders.
  6. Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety activities including TWOSAs, hot works permits, crane authorisation, and statutory inspections.
  7. Excellent IT literacy skills as all work is managed through an SAP system; user training for this and other standard software systems will be provided.
  8. A commitment to Health & Safety, ensuring that all employees go home safe and well at the end of each day.

What’s in it for you?

  1. Competitive salary up to £44,000 per annum depending on previous experience.
  2. Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
  3. Car Allowance: £4,500 per annum.
  4. Generous Pension Scheme through AON.
  5. Access to various benefits to help you take care of your health, wellbeing, and finances – from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers, and life assurance.
