Technical Bid Writer (DV Cleared) - 6 Month Contract - Outside IR35

My client is seeking an experienced Technical Bid Writer with a strong understanding of security strategy and frameworks to support the development of high-quality, technical proposals for defence and security clients.

Key Details:

Clearance: Active DV Clearance
Location: Farnborough/Bristol
Duration: 6 months (Long term program)
Rate: Competitive on application
Determination: Outside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and write clear, concise, and compelling technical content for bids and proposals.
• Work closely with solution architects, security consultants, and technical SMEs to articulate complex solutions effectively.
• Ensure bids align with client requirements, security standards, and evaluation criteria.
• Translate technical information into structured responses, tailored to the defence/security sector.
• Ensure alignment with recognised security frameworks and standards (eg, NIST, ISO 27001, NCSC principles).

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Active DV Clearance
• Proven experience as a Technical or Security Bid Writer, ideally within Defence, MoD, or security environments.
• Strong understanding of security strategy, cybersecurity principles, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex concepts into clear, bid-ready responses.
• Experience in working in secure or classified environments.
